Clearview Elementary
H.C. Nye Company is proud to have partnered with Gillan & Hartmann, Inc. (Engineer of Record) and Falasca Mechanical (Mechanical Contractor) on a major HVAC Improvements Project for the Clearview Regional School District in New Jersey.
Through strong collaboration with industry leaders and the exceptional manufacturers we represent, we continue to deliver successful, high-performance HVAC solutions for the K–12 education market — one of our core areas of expertise.
For this project, H.C. Nye Company supplied sixty-six (66) AAON Packaged Rooftop Units serving both the High School and Middle School. These systems provided and conditioned outdoor ventilation air for classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, auditoriums, offices, and other key spaces across both campuses.
The project showcased AAON’s unmatched flexibility and innovation — featuring compact footprints, total energy recovery wheels for high outside air applications, and multiple system configurations. Cooling was provided by packaged DX systems with modulating hot gas reheat for dehumidification or chilled water cooling where available. Heating solutions included hot-water coils tied to the schools’ hot-water loops, and dual-fuel systems (air-source heat pump + natural gas) in locations without hot water.
To complement the rooftop systems, we also provided AAON H3 Air Handlers in both chilled-water/hot-water and split-system DX configurations — each designed with AAON’s small-footprint flexibility and hot gas reheat technology for superior humidity control.
Inside the buildings, IEC Fan Coil Units delivered sensible heating and cooling through a range of configurations — from vertical floor-mounted cabinets in classrooms to horizontal hideaway units in ceiling spaces.
Additionally, Zehnder Rittling hot-water unit heaters and cabinet unit heaters provided reliable zone heating for stairwells and other support areas.
This project is a great example of what’s possible through collaboration, innovation, and the trusted partnerships that define H.C. Nye Company. A huge thank you to Gillan & Hartmann, Falasca Mechanical, AAON, IEC, and Zehnder Rittling for helping make this project a success!
