Desert Aire ExpertAire
Designed for high efficiency and long life, Desert Aire’s ExpertAire™ commercial dehumidification systems optimize moisture removal in a diverse range of applications, including indoor pools, industrial processes, and public works and municipal services. The ExpertAire™ Series carries the highest Moisture Removal Efficiency ratings available, which translates directly into lower operating cost: more moisture removed for every kilowatt the system consumes. Units are available across a wide range of capacities, so the same engineering scales from a single community pool to a large municipal facility.
In natatorium applications, ExpertAire™ units do more than dry the air. They recover the heat released during dehumidification and redirect it to warm the pool water or the space, capturing energy that would otherwise be rejected outdoors. Corrosion-resistant construction and coated coils stand up to the chloramine-laden air of an indoor pool, protecting the equipment investment in one of the harshest environments in commercial HVAC.
Each unit is configured to the project: capacity, airflow, heat rejection method, and controls are selected to match the space, the pool surface area, and the activity level the facility supports. The result is stable humidity, protected building surfaces, and comfortable air for swimmers and spectators. Beyond aquatics, the same platform handles industrial process drying and municipal applications such as water treatment facilities, where uncontrolled humidity corrodes equipment and threatens uptime.
Desert Aire SelectAire
Desert Aire’s SelectAire™ (SA) Systems can be installed indoors or outdoors, giving design teams flexibility when mechanical room space is tight or rooftop placement makes better use of the building. These commercial dehumidification systems offer complete humidity and air quality control, exhaust air energy recovery, and automatic air balancing in a single packaged unit. Units arrive as complete packaged systems, simplifying rigging and field installation.
Automatic air balancing is especially valuable in natatoriums. The system continuously manages outdoor air and exhaust to hold the pool room under slight negative pressure, so humid, chlorine-laden air stays in the natatorium instead of migrating into adjacent spaces. Exhaust air energy recovery captures heat from the outgoing airstream and uses it to condition incoming ventilation air, reducing the energy cost of meeting outdoor air requirements.
Modular engineering and flexible design options allow each SelectAire™ system to be customized with remote condensers, hot water or gas heating, and building automation integration to match the project. The SA Series is ideal for large-scale moisture removal applications, and it is the equipment behind our Suburban Swim Club installation, where an SA60 with a remote air-cooled condenser protects the club’s natatorium year-round.
